Zoe Ball to replace Claudia Winkleman on tonight's Strictly

Zoe Ball will present tonight's Strictly Come Dancing alongside Tess Daly.

The It Takes Two host will step in for Claudia Winkleman, who will remain home to look after her unwell child.

Wishing Claudia Winkleman's child a speedy recovery, a BBC spokesperson confirmed the news in a statement.

"Claudia can't be with us tonight," reads the statement. "One of her children is unwell, we wish them a speedy recovery.

"Zoe Ball from It Takes Two will be stepping in to co-host with Tess."

Ball has presented It Takes Two since Claudia left the show in 2011.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood recently praised Claudia Winkleman, telling Digital Spy that the host brings the best out of Tess Daly.

The Halloween episode of Strictly Come Dancing airs tonight (November 1) at 6.30pm on BBC One.
