The X Factor has eliminated its second finalist of the series.
Shelley Smith became the latest act to exit the show following a sing-off with Kingsland Road. The result means that Sharon Osbourne has only one finalist remaining in her Overs category.
Kingsland Road became the series' latest 'Flash Vote' nominee during Saturday's (October 19) 'Love and Heartache'-themed show.
Osbourne opted to send Kingsland Road home, while Gary Barlow chose to protect his own act by sending home Smith. Meanwhile, Nicole Scherzinger admitted that she had to support the boyband as it was their first time in the sing-off.
The decision rested with Louis Walsh who after deliberation - and pleas from Osbourne to save her act - chose to send home the Overs singer.
The judges praised both acts for their sing-off performances. Kingsland Road performed a rendition of Pink's 'Try', while Smith took on Sam Brown's 'Stop'.
Asked by host Dermot O'Leary if she will continue singing, Smith said: "I hope so. I just want to say thank you to everybody at The X Factor. I've had the time of my life and Mrs O is amazing."
Meanwhile, she told The Xtra Factor: "I kind of expected it going up against Kingsland. They're amazing, I love them.
"I was just ready because I love the boys. I'm really pleased for them."
Osbourne revealed that she is "gutted" to have already lost two acts, saying: "I'm gutted. I can't put it into words."
The latest live results show of the year saw live performances from US stars Katy Perry and Robin Thicke, while the finalists came together for a joint rendition of Avicii's 'Wake Me Up' at the start of the programme.
The X Factor continues next Saturday (October 26) at 8pm on ITV with a 'Songs from the Movies' theme. Lady Gaga and The Wanted will perform on next Sunday's (October 27) results show.
