'Notting Hill' heading to Channel 4

Channel 4 has commissioned a new documentary series called Notting Hill.


The real life, real-time show follows the lives of ten members of the public who live in and around Notting Hill in London.

Each episode will be broadcast the same week it is filmed so that viewers will be living through and talking about similar things as the characters in the programme.

Channel 4's Simon Dickson said: "Channel 4 has a track record for innovation in documentary.

"The Family and One Born Every Minute reinvented the genre by bringing multi-camera technology to real-life situations. Notting Hill takes a fabulous cast of characters living in an iconic location and follows their lives in almost real-time."

The eight-part series is due to air later this year.
