Emma Kennedy has been crowned the winner of Celebrity MasterChef 2012.
The 45-year-old writer won the show after two weeks of semi-finals and finals against Danny Mills and Michael Underwood.
"This is the first trophy I've ever won and what a trophy to win; there's been blood, sweat and burns that have gone into this!" said Kennedy. "It ranks up there in one of the all time life achievements - wow, wow, wow!"
Judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace awarded Kennedy the trophy after she completed the final task of preparing a three-course meal without fault for the judges.
Torode complimented her on her skill and said that she had "propelled herself to absolute greatness through sheer tenacity". Co-presenter Wallace called her "unbelievable" and said that she was "producing dishes now that are as good as many professionals".
Before completing the final task, the contestants were put through their paces with a series of tough challenges to demonstrate creativity, skill and determination, including catering lunch on-set for the cast and crew of BBC drama New Tricks, cooking a three-course meal for those who work at the historic Bletchley Park, and also producing a Michelin standard meal for four of the best chefs in the country.
Kennedy's winning Celebrity MasterChef menu consisted of a starter of Pea, Mint and Ricotta Ravioli with Pancetta Butter and Pea Shoots.
This was followed by a main dish of Pan fried Turbot topped with Samphire and served with Vegetable filled Leek Cannelloni, crushed Roast Potatoes and a Beurre Blanc sauce, and a dessert of Ile Flottante - Poached Meringue in Crème Anglaise with Almond Praline Topping and Shortbread Biscuits.
Speaking about her Celebrity MasterChef experience, Kennedy said: "It's genuinely the hardest thing I've ever done. Nothing can prepare you for it. It's like being on a ship in a storm. You have to just lash yourself onto a mast and hope you stay afloat. It's an incredible experience."
Kennedy, along with other members of the MasterChef team, will be at the BBC Good Food Show in Scotland, from October 19 to 21.
