Ben Fowler became the second candidate fired by Lord Sugar on the Young Apprentice after another failure from the boys' team in a baby product task.

Lewis Roman's boys only secured the sales of 5,200 units of their Harris the Hippo drinking toys and were edged out in the boardroom by the girls, who flogged 7,500 units of their Support and Comfort baby-holding tool.

For their second treat, the girls were sent for a street dance lesson with Ashley Banjo from Diversity, while the boys had to settle for the Losers' Cafe.

"Have a good time popping and locking," Sugar told the girls.

Back in the boardroom, Project Manager Lewis blamed their defeat on the "lack of contribution" from Ben and the divisive nature of Harry Maxwell. "His attitude stinks," commented Lewis.

James Mccullagh backed the PM, pointing the finger at Harry M. "Harry, you made things very difficult on this task. It was like having an enemy on your own team," he said.

Coming to his final verdict on who should be fired, Sugar concluded that Ben's lack of "inspirational ideas" made him the weakest link.

"With regret Ben, you're fired," he declared.

On the way home, the 16-year-old argued that the multi-millionaire hadn't seen "the best" of him.

"He didn't like my calm, relaxed approach and unfortunately I didn't get a chance to show him what I could do," he said.

Young Apprentice continues next Monday at 9pm on BBC One.
