'X Factor': first four acts voted out...

Jonjo Kerr, James Michael, 2 Shoes and Amelia Lily have become the first acts to be voted out of The X Factor 2011.



The four were eliminated from the competition by their mentors Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland as part of this week's shock mass eviction.

Kerr was first to learn of his exit and admitted to Dermot O'Leary that he felt like he "could have done better" yesterday.

Meanwhile, a teary-eyed Michael vowed to "carry on with music" and continue chasing his dream of "performing to millions of people".

When Contostavlos came to vote, she first put through Rhythmix and The Risk, before handing the final spot to Nu Vibe as she felt that they could improve on their performance last night.

In response, 2 Shoes claimed that they were "so proud" to have made it on The X Factor in the first place and said that the experience had brought them closer than ever.

As the show concluded, Rowland regretfully named Lily as the final eliminee, but later affirmed to viewers that they were "going to see this girl everywhere".
