Craig Revel Horwood has said that he wants Edwina Currie for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Speaking to
The Daily Telegraph, Horwood said that he believes the former politician would be even more entertaining than last year's semi-finalist Ann Widdecombe.
"I think she might be even better than Ann was," he predicted. "She applies more war paint, and, what's more, she won't be as prudish about her ankles being shown."
In last year's series, Horwood and Widdecombe famously clashed as she progressed further and further through the competition.
Meanwhile, Currie has already been quoted as saying she is keen to join the show, despite apparent injury problems.
"I broke both bones in my ankle and now have ten screws in it," she explained. "I'd like to take part to encourage anyone who has injured themselves. It does not condemn you to being old and incapable."
