Strictly Come Dancing added a bit of glitz and glamour to the Christmas TV schedule today with a special festive episode of the star-studded dance competition. A brand-new cast of famous faces stepped into the ballroom to compete in the 2025 Strictly Christmas special.

Six celebrities battled it out on the dancefloor, performing festive themed routines, in a bid to impress the judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and Shirley Ballas.

While they were up against some tough competition, it was ultimately Gogglebox icon Scarlett Moffatt who was crowned the winner for her impressive festive dance with Strictly pro Vito Coppola.

Moffatt and Coppola danced a Cha Cha to Cher’s 'DJ Play A Christmas Song' and received a perfect score of 40 from the judges.

When the judges scores were combined with the studio audience vote, the duo were crowned the winners and presented with Strictly’s Christmas Star Trophy.

"This is amazing!" Moffatt exclaimed after being announced as the winner. "I feel like I should have prepared a speech.

"This is honestly the greatest gift that could have ever happened at Christmas. We’ve all just had the best time."

Moffatt and Coppola had to beat a wide range of famous faces in order to claim the Christmas Star Trophy.

Taskmaster star Babatunde Aléshé took part alongside Nancy Xu, scoring a total of 35 for a Charleston to 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town' by Bing Crosby.

From the world of music, All Saints singer Mel Blatt was partnered up with Strictly pro Kai Widdrington and the duo were awarded 36 points from the judges for their American Smooth to 'Santa Baby' by The Pussycat Dolls.

Scoring a total of 37 points, Gladiators star and former rugby player Jodie Ounsley performed with Neil Jones. The pair danced a Street Commercial routine to 'Red Christmas' by Kylie Cantrall.

Meanwhile, Westlife’s Brian McFadden was paired with Michelle Tsiakkas and scored a total of 39 for a Jive to 'Run Run Rudolf' by Kelly Clarkson.

Also just missing out on a perfect score, EastEnders actor Nicholas Bailey danced with Luba Mushtuk and was awarded a total of 39 for Viennese Waltz to 'It’s The Most Wonderful Time of The Year' by Andy Williams.

The special episode was packed with festive feels as it also featured a holiday-inspired group routine to Kelly Clarkson’s 'Grown Up Christmas List' and 'We Need A Little Christmas' from the musical Mame.

The show later drew to a close with a special group dance number to 'Happy Holiday' / 'Let Yourself Go from White Christmas'.

The special also marked an emotional milestone for the show as it was presenting duo Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s last ever episode.

Closing the show, Daly and Winkleman said their final ever "Keeeeep dancing!" from the Strictly ballroom.

Strictly Come Dancing will be hosted by someone new when the beloved BBC show returns in 2026. However, the new presenters have yet to be announced.
