12 celebs confirmed
Strictly Come Dancing has confirmed the 12th celebrity for the 2025 season, and it's one of the soap veterans.
As announced on This Morning, Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis will take part in the BBC One dancing competition.
Dennis first appeared as Paul Robinson on the Australian soap in its very first episode in 1985. He spent most of the '90s away from Ramsay Street, but returned in 2004 and has been there ever since.
Outside of Neighbours, Dennis has had roles in the Scottish BBC soap River City, medical drama Casualty, police soap The Bill, and Blood Brothers on the stage.
"This is an opportunity for me to once again learn to step out of my comfort zone in the world of television," he said. "Looking forward to the sparkle and reaching for the sky."
Dennis' announcement comes shortly after filming on Neighbours concluded a few weeks ago.
The show was initially axed a few years back when Channel 5 pulled its funding, but was later revived by Amazon.
However, the streamer decided to pull the plug once again, although the cast and showrunners are hopeful that its success will lead to it being picked up elsewhere again.
Earlier today, two more reality TV stars - Vicky Pattison and Thomas Skinner - were confirmed for the Strictly line-up.
The trio join RuPaul's Drag Race UK finalist La Voix, EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal, and Doctor Who's Alex Kingston, to name a few.
The rest of the line-up is set to be announced imminently.
