The Masked Singer has aired the fourth elimination of the series, as the latest celebrity exited the show.

In tonight's (January 18) superhero-themed episode, five talented contestants took to the stage to impress the audience with their vocals. The panel, joined by Tom Daley, tried to guess the identities of Dressed Crab, Tattoo, Teeth, Kingfisher and Snail.

The studio audience voted for their favourites, and it was announced that Dressed Crab and Tattoo were at risk of leaving the competition.

The contestants each performed in the sing-off before the panel decided to eliminate Tattoo, which meant Dressed Crab was through to the next round.

After guesses including Dannii Minogue, Nicole Appleton, Kym Marsh, Lacey Turner and Rachel Riley, the hidden performer was unmasked as singer Carol Decker.

"You sang better than ever," Jonathan Ross said. "The energy, the last performance. You commanded the whole stage," Maya Jama agreed.

Asked if any of the panel's guesses made her laugh, Carol answered, "Kylie". Mo Gilligan was quick to wonder who had made that guess, before being informed that it was him. "I should be so lucky," Carol laughed.

Talking about her time on the show, Carol said: "I've loved it, and I'm going to say I'm gutted! Everybody is amazing. I'm gutted because it's the best fun ever."

Carol's reaction was slightly different to last week's unmasking, which saw singer Macy Gray abruptly walking off stage after her elimination. The contestant had to be brought back before the unmasking but later said she'd had a "good time" on the show.

The Masked Singer UK continues next week, when all remaining eight characters will perform together for the first time.

The Masked Singer airs on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
