"I feel really honoured"



The Voice UK has crowned its 2024 champion.

The ITV show's latest season aired its finalé episode on Saturday night (October 26), which saw the four coaches - will.i.am, Tom Jones, LeAnn Rimes, and McFly's Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher - battle it out to have one of their contestants win.

In the end, it was Danny and Tom who came out on the top, as their contestant Ava Mannings was crowned the winner.

Danny and Tom ran onto the stage to celebrate with Ava after it was announced that she would be taking home a recording contract, a £50,000 cash prize and a holiday to Orlando, Florida.

When host Emma Willis asked how she was feeling, Ava replied: "Speechless, like I am every time. I’m probably a bit more speechless this time, but forever grateful."

The Bristolian dog groomer also acknowledged her fellow finalists, saying: "And these lot, they’re amazing, so I feel really honoured."

Just 48 hours before the final, Ava's mentors decided to change her song to 'The Long And Winding Road' by The Beatles.

However, this didn't stop her from pulling off yet another incredible performance, which will.i.am described as "spectacular".

"I’ve always loved that song and every time I hear anybody do it I think, ‘My God, I should have recorded that song'. You did a wonderful job with that song," added Sir Tom.

For her duet with Tom and Danny, Ava sang 'The Reason' by Hoobastank.

Viewers took to social media to celebrate Ava’s victory, with one fan writing: "Ava fully deserved to win this year - genuinely think she’s someone who will do well in the industry - unique and super talented."

"Ava smashed it tonight! Well deserved winner!" said another, while a third added: "The PERFECT winner with the most perfect coaches."
