Sandeesh Samra has become the seventh fired Apprentice candidate of the series after tonight's green screen challenge.

The Nottingham-based contestant was the project manager of the losing Team Synergy, who only made £222.97 profit from their DVD sales at Westfield London Shopping Centre.

Both teams were tasked with flogging DVDs of customers' 'virtual experiences' on green screens. Team Synergy tried to sell a ski slope experience, while Stuart Baggs's Team Apollo sold a motor car racing film aimed at young children.

Despite winning the task, Baggs came in for criticism in the boardroom from Lord Alan Sugar and his teammates.

After Baggs criticised Stella English for being "too corporate" and writing everything down, Sugar blasted the 21-year-old wannabe entrepreneur.

"Let me ask you something, Stuart," said Sugar. "If you were working for me and you've got all this stuff in your head and I'm relying and trusting upon you and unfortunately you get run over by a number six bus, where does that leave me?"

However, when the final results were revealed, it was 26-year-old Samra who ended up in the firing line for failing to organise her team properly. She brought Chris Bates and Liz Locke back to the boardroom for the final showdown, but their strong performances in previous tasks appeared to save them.

In his final summary, Sugar said: "Sandeesh, you were appointed by me as team leader. We've talked many times about planning, clearly on this particular task there was no planning.

"Sandeesh, you're up against two very strong contenders here so I'm going to have to let you go. Sandeesh, you're fired!"

The Apprentice continues next Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
