Julien Macdonald has claimed that a plus size girl winning Britain's Next Top Model would be "a joke".
The Welsh designer, who is on the judging panel for the latest series of the catwalk reality show, said that the victor should be no larger than a "size six to eight".
"This is a serious show. A catwalk model is a size six to eight," he told Wales On Sunday. "You can't have a plus size girl winning - it makes it a joke."
He continued: "It's not fair on them - you're setting them up for a fall - I know what would happen to them afterwards.
"They are looked down on, they're frowned upon. If you're a size 14 in a room full of size eights - you're in the wrong room."
The Living series, which will also feature Elle Macpherson, Grace Woodward and Charley Speed, starts next month.
