As the second casualty of this week's special double eviction, the 18-year-old found herself in the bottom two alongside Danielle Hope after they received the fewest public votes.

Battling to stay in the competition, the pair then had to sing a rendition of 'Take That Look Off Your Face' from Tell Me On A Sunday, in order to convince Andrew Lloyd Webber of their talents.

Upon his decision to save Danielle, Lord Webber commented: "I say this
with the heaviest heart in the entire world, Jessica you are so wonderful and quirky, you're a real star in the making."

After hearing her fate, Jessica told Graham Norton: "I've had the best experience
of my life so far. I've got the opportunity to go and train in September, and that's what I'm going to do.

"This has changed my life, it's changed my life as a performer and as a person, I'm stronger than ever. I've loved it, and these girls. Well I can't wait to go and see one of them on stage."

Over The Rainbow continues next Saturday at 7.10pm on BBC One.
