The presenter left the show after losing out to Donal MacIntyre in the live jump.

Both celebrities chose to jump from the K24, the medium slope, with MacIntyre jumping half a metre further than Hamilton with a distance of 13.5 metres.

Eight celebrities took part in the bobsleigh event in tonight's (January 30) programme - the first show to mix the male and female contestants.

Steve Redgrave topped the leaderboard with a time of 58.46 seconds while Kimberly Wyatt made it in 59.56 seconds.

Ritchie Neville came third taking 59.66 seconds, followed by Joe McElderry's time of 59.87 seconds.

Marcus Brigstocke (59.88), Anthea Turner (1.00.24) and Laura Hamilton (1.00.25) came fifth, sixth and seventh respectively, while MacIntyre was disqualified after failing to mount the sled after the initial push.

Last night's eliminated celebrity Sinitta has revealed that she was "completely clueless" about the dangers involved when she signed up for the show.

Several contestants have been forced to withdraw from the programme after suffering injuries.

The Jump continues tomorrow night (January 31) - when the celebrities will take part in figure skating - at 8pm on Channel 4.
