Coronation Street actress Samia Ghadie has been eliminated from Dancing on Ice.
The 30-year-old, who plays Maria Connor in the ITV soap, was sent home from the reality show tonight (February 24) when all four judges voted against her after she performed in the Save Me Skate.
Ghadie received the lowest number of votes alongside Olympic champion Luke Campbell. After both performed a new routine, judge Karen Barber described the decision to save Campbell over Ghadie as "difficult", adding: "Both couples desperately want to be here next week."
After learning that she would be leaving the competition, presenter Phillip Schofield addressed the rumours that Ghadie is in a relationship with her professional partner on the show Sylvain Longchambon.
Ghadie turned to Longchambon and said: "I think we'll keep in touch, won't we?" Longchambon smiled, adding: "Maybe."
Before performing their final routine, it was revealed that Ghadie had suffered a groin injury while rehearsing the Save Me Skate performance. Judge Jason Gardiner praised her "for coming out and doing that under such duress. You can hold your head high".
Speaking about her time on the show, Ghadie said she had "loved every second" of being on the reality programme. "I'm glad tonight's been our last performance," she said, "as we can go out on a high."
Dancing on Ice continues next Sunday (March 3) at 6.15pm on ITV.
