A special Dancing on Ice show will reportedly air in celebration of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Show mentors Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will step into the rink with judge Robin Cousins for the extravaganza, while new panellist Katarina Witt is to skate for the first time since a farewell tour in 2008.
Sources report that ITV bosses ran into issues convincing the stars to skate together, given Witt's rivalry with Torvill and Dean at the 1984 Games in Sarajevo.
"It sounds like a no-brainer, getting all four to dance, but it wasn't easy," insiders told The Sun. "Jayne and Chris are billed as the show legends so asking their rival Olympic medallist to perform on the same bill was tricky.
"Luckily they have agreed, so we've got a belter of a show lined up. Jayne and Chris are spearheading the routine that is likely to see them all dance together.
"It will be great for Katarina to skate as she hasn't really been on the ice since 2008. Robin is also nervous as he hasn't been on the ice for years either."
The four professionals have a total of five Olympic medals between them, four of which are gold.
