Russell Grant battles back injury for Strictly Come Dancing

TV astrologer Russell Grant is reportedly battling a back injury in order to take part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.



The former TV-am star had been undergoing medical tests, according to The Sun, to check whether he is fit enough to compete in the dance competition.

Grant is apparently still suffering from an ailment that occurred earlier this year when he fell off stage.

"There are real fears about his health and whether taking part would aggravate an injury. He is such a fan of the show though that he is prepared to put up with discomfort," a source told the newspaper.

Nancy Dell'Olio, footballer Robbie Savage and ex-EastEnders star Anita Dobson are also tipped to be taking part in the BBC One series later this year.

Strictly will return to BBC One in the autumn and will include a grand final filmed in 3D and a special edition Wembley show.
