Gary Barlow has revealed that he was offered the chance to appear on Celebrity Wife Swap.
The X Factor judge said that he was asked to live with presenter Melinda Messenger for the series, but his wife Dawn was not happy with the idea.
He tells this week's Xtra Factor: "In the years when I was having a 'rest' I got approached by Celebrity Wife Swap and it was going to be with Melinda Messenger.
"I went straight to my wife and went, 'Babe this would be amazing', and she just looked and saw Melinda and went forget that."
Barlow also admits that he is not keen on other people singing his songs in auditions, saying: "I can't make up my mind if it's really bold and brave or just stupid, I don't really like it."
It was recently reported that the Take That star has created a new girlband from solo X Factor auditionees.
The X Factor continues tomorrow (Saturday, September 21) at 8pm on ITV. The Xtra Factor follows at 9pm on ITV2.
