Channel 4's Hotel GB will reportedly not return for another series.

The reality show, which boasted an array of stars for its first run, is said to have been axed due to poor ratings.

Gordon Ramsay, Mary Portas, Gok Wan and Katie Piper all took part in last year's programme, where two celebrity teams staffed a hotel with unemployed trainees and battled it out to raise the most money for charity.

An insider told The Sun: "It was a good idea and bosses are glad they gave it a go.

"But it just didn't pull in enough viewers at the end of the day and it won't be coming back."

At the end of the show - which also starred Phil Spencer, Kim Woodburn and Kirstie Allsop - the 14 trainees who took part were all offered jobs by UK firms who visited the hotel undercover to seek out potential employees.

Ramsay and Portas were also impressed and each took on a trainee.

Ramsay offered former cruise dancer Gun a role at one of his restaurants, while Portas employed 26-year-old mum Emily to work at a store she owns.
