Re: Plan to reopen link between Broadgate and Hertford Stree

I think it's an excellent idea and will give a much more open and comfortable feeling to Hertford St, and leads on nicely towards the new Station development.

Hopefully the quality of Businesses in the street will improve over time too, it's a bit crummy at the moment.

Re: Coventry clock art creator 'not consulted'

I like Public Art and Art in general but I found it unexciting and incomprehensible.

Re: African woman receives £145,000 worth of free NHS treatm

NIgeria was a former British Colony and a source of Slaves before abolition so her Ancestors probably paid their dues.

The British Museum is still stuffed with Benin Bronzes which were looted from the Royal Palace during colonisation.

Re: Oktoberfest beer festival now underway in city centre

We popped in today. It's got the atmosphere of a really bad wedding reception about it. Steins of beer are £9.50.

We had lunch at cafe Italia instead and it was gorgeous.

Re: Allied Carpets building to be turned into student flats

It should take pressure off housing in the City for normal i.e. non-Student folk to occupy. I also believe that more people living right in the centre will make it a much more safe and pleasant place to be in the evening & will attract new Businesses to Town eventually if business rents and rate...

Ricoh Arena Station not a waste of money, honest

You can't actually use it to get to or from the Arena, but it's a jolly good thing anyway. Possibly. Can we have our money back ?

Natwest Broadgate

The Luftwaffe couldn't destroy it, but the Natwest are having a go. All the nice folks who used to help you out with banking matters have gone and been replaced by machines. You can pay in a cheque with a paying in slip, but there are none. No pens either. You can allegedly pay in a cheque with your...
