Fantastic yet again Dutchman - That shot of the City Arms having St Johns in the background can really show you how it was compared to now.
Just wish it was all still there.......

Thanks Rebbonk. I was researching the history of 'Allesley Castle' myself recently and learned that Allesley was probably a Saxon enclave in an area which was mainly an Angle stronghold. Just reviving this - the last shop on the left of that original photo was not only Pete Watermans 'Soul Hole' - now marked by a plaque on the wall but the ground floor was also Coventrys Virgin Records. I think I'm right in saying it was one of, if not the first Virgin Record shop outside of London....
